Ana Solis is a NYC based, Panamanian filmmaker and video editor.

With an MFA in Acting (The New School) and professional certification in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, and Avid from Manhattan Edit Workshop, she blends emotional sensitivity with technical precision in every cut.

She has worked in post-production for MTV’s De La Calle and Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil at Zero Point Zero, and serves as the lead editor of Uncorked Potential: Chile, a feature documentary currently in post-production.

Raised between coastlines, Ana finds rhythm in the ebb and pull of stories. Whether cutting a horror short or crafting a feature documentary, she approaches editing as both craft and conversation—a way of listening to what the story wants to say.

As a filmmaker, is known to blur the line between psychological thriller and emotional realism. She uses fear not as spectacle but as a lens—examining memory, perception, and trauma to reveal how we construct, distort, and survive our own realities—especially within Latin women’s experiences.

Her short films, including Close to Home and La Mañana Siguiente, have received multiple awards, including First Place at the Hayah International Short Film Festival, Best Horror Short at the Panama Horror Film Festival, Best Director at the L.A. International Horror Film Festival, and Best Thriller at Cineverse.
